Concert Band Festival update
It is not too late to apply for the Western Band Association Concert Band Festival! WBA is proud to offer participating bands the outstanding opportunity to perform in a state of the art concert venue, as well as receiving comments, and a clinic from some of the finest college music educators in the state. Where: Menlo-Atherton Performing Arts Center (MAPAC) When: Friday, March 5th, 2010. 1 p.m-9:30 p.m. Format: 45 minute stage time, (up to 33 minutes of music) 45 minute clinic by one of our outstanding adjudicators. From the President...
The words that came to mind as I considered my final thoughts on the season just past, in the post-championship afterglow (or is that just a full 8 hours of sleep?), were "Personal Best." It is my hope that through the educational and competitive opportunities provided by WBA, your students, your band, your staff and you all found a moment to be at your personal best this season. Whether this was your 1st or your 15th championship weekend, we all saw the best in our competitors, the best in each other and the best in ourselves, didn't we? Thank you for your continued support of WBA. It is my sincere pleasure to serve you as president and hope that we can count on your continued participation in future WBA events. Please feel free to share any comments, thoughts or concerns on the season with myself or any board member. We are here to help facilitate the best experience possible as we all strive for our "Personal Best." Have a safe and happy holiday season!
