Mitch has been an active percussion judge over the last 6 years and has adjudicated for the Pep and pageantry Arts Association of Central California, San Juaquin Valley Color Guard and Percussion Review, Visalia Lions Club, and Central Valley Guard and Percussion Circuit.
Mitch has taught percussion for the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corp, Blue Devils B-Corp, Capitol Sound Drum and Bugle Corp and taught or arranged for Clovis West High School, Bullard High School, Madera South High School, Roubidoux High School, and Colton High School.
Mitch was a lauded member of the Concord Blue Devils (1996, 1999) and soloist in their Jazz Man in the Moon indoor stage show, Velvet Knights (1995), Velvet Knights Winter Percussion (1993, 1994, 1995), Riverside Community College (1995), Allegiance Elite (Calgary, Canada) (1994), Inland Cadets (1992), Colton High School, and was a performing member in the California State University Fresno Percussion Ensemble and Fresno City College Orchestra. Mitch has also performed with the Remo Percussion Drumline in the Tournament of Roses Parade and played with the San Francisco 49'er "Niner-Noise" drumline.
Music Education & degrees
Mitch received his doctorate and dual Masters in Educational Psychology and Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin as an Advanced Studies Fellow. He received a Baccalaureate of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Music from California State University, Fresno. Mitch has also taught undergraduate and graduate courses at both California State University, Fresno and National University.
