| Title: "Subject Matter"
Description: Whether you’re a current or a former high school student, we hope you enjoy our presentation of these popular subjects studied in high schools around the country. Movement 1 celebrates the America’s greatest original art form of jazz with soloists and a good ol’ fashion medium swing shout chorus. U.S. History, 1900 America’s promise and hope, industrialization, and the impending doom of World War I. English Literature is a presentation of the classic story of tragic young love by Shakespeare. Movement 4 presents a harmonic study of prime numbers and a rhythmic use of mathematic operations. Feeling tired? Take a breath as we take you through movement 5 – a presentation of dance and stamina using 6/8 and 7/4 grooves before pushing you to physical exhaustion. |

| As always, the students and staff of the Mead High School Band would like to offer a huge THANK YOU to the parents and administration of the Mead School District. Without whom, the program would certainly not be where it is today. |
