Richard Delgado

Richard Delgado has been involved with marching bands, drum corps, winter guards and winter percussion since 1981. He was a percussionist and drum major for Clovis West High School in the early 80's and began working as a visual instructor with the program in 1985 and retired in 2008 as the Visual Director. Mr. Delgado has been a part of the Western Band Association since its inception, first as a performer, then event staff and currently a judge. Since 2008 Mr. Delgado has been a judge with WBA, WGI and various circuits up and down the state of California. He performed with Los Danzantes de Aztlan while attending California State University, Fresno, is the Assistant Director of Los Ninos de Aztlan Dance Studio and has been involved with Danzantes Unidos de California for many years. He holds a BA in Chicano Latin American Studies from CSU, Fresno and is an Educator in the Clovis Unified School District. Richard is the 2021 Fresno County School Employee of the Year. Richard lives in Fresno, CA with his wife Amber, his children Reyes, Armine, Macui, Amaya and Eliana. He is also the proud papa of his grand babies Kobe and Kristopher.
