Richard Kramer

Richard Kramer has been involved in the marching band & winter guard activity as a performer, designer, instructor, circuit administrator and adjudicator for the past 4 decades. He has been an active member of the Winter Guard Association of Southern California (WGASC) since 1989. He has served the WGASC as President, Contest Coordinator, Administrator, Adjudicator, Contest Announcer and was awarded the “Order of Excellence” in 2003. Recently he held the office of Vice-President of Adjudication for 12 years. In 2021 he was named to the Board of Directors of the WGASC. He also served on the WGI Board of Directors from 1984 – 1987, and has been a staff member at the WGI World Championships as an Announcer since 1989. He has adjudicated winter guard competitions for a number of associations in the Western United States, Utah and Texas. He is an active adjudicator of marching band competitions throughout California, Utah and several other western states for the Marching Band Open Series (MBOS), Utah Music Educators Association (UMEA) Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA) and the Western Band Association (WBA) since 1996.
